Waldvogel Commercial Properties Hires Two

Celie Holmes and Carla M. Dunaway have joined Waldvogel Commercial Properties, Inc. in administrative positions: Holmes as marketing and transaction coordinator and Dunaway as administrative assistant.

Holmes has more than 21 years experience in business, 14 of which were spent in real estate: development, finance, administrative, and marketing support for a large Roanoke-area builder. She serves on the Board of the Conflict Resolution Center, a 501(c)(3) non-profit. Her other interests include small engine tinkering, hiking and graphic design.

Dunaway has worked as an administrative assistant with several companies since 1999. She has experience as a support specialist in insurance underwriting, wholesale distribution, and real estate. Her spare time is spent with training and taking care of her horse.

Waldvogel Commercial Properties Brokers the Sale of Three Verizon Properties

building exterior photoWaldvogel Commercial Properties represented Verizon Virginia Inc. in the sale of a two-story office building at 5515 Airport Road. The building measures approximately 53,800 square feet and is situated on a seven-acre site. It is located near the Roanoke Regional Airport in the busy commercial and retail corridor that includes Valley View Mall.

The property sold to Delta Dental of Virginia for approximately $35.43 per square foot.

The firm also has represented Verizon in the sale of two other office properties in the region:

  • An office building at 254 Industrial Park Drive in Amherst, VA was sold on December 22 from Verizon South Inc. to L&M Properties, LLC, a Roanoke-based investment group. The property is a 37,200-square-foot office building on a 9.8-acre site in the Amherst Industrial Park.
  • An office building at 802 E. Main Street in Pulaski, VA was sold on December 15 from Verizon Communications Inc. to the County of Pulaski. It is a 14,000-square-foot office building situated on a 1.7-acre site with more than 100 parking spaces. Pulaski County plans to relocate its Sheriff’s Department and 911 call center to the property.

Waldvogel Commercial Properties Brokers Purchase of Office Building in South Roanoke

Waldvogel Commercial Properties announces the purchase of a single-story office building at 2118 Rosalind Ave., SW in South Roanoke.

The area is a limited but growing commercial submarket, supported in large part by the development of Riverside Center, Carilion Clinic, the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine and Research Institute, and Cambria Suites Hotel.

The approximately 4,300-square-foot building was built in 1978. The property most recently had been used for medical offices, but with the sale, it will be used for professional offices. It was sold May 13, 2011 for $750,000. Michael Waldvogel, CCIM, SIOR and Krista Vannoy, CCIM, of Waldvogel Commercial Properties represented the purchaser, Rox Properties, LLC.

Waldvogel Commercial Properties Brokers Sale of Commercial Property in Daleville

Michael Waldvogel, CCIM, SIOR and Krista Vannoy, CCIM, of Waldvogel Commercial Properties represented Six Dogs LLC in the sale of the property at 1171 Roanoke Road in Daleville.

The property, formerly a gas station and convenience store, was completely renovated in 2008 and is currently home to Blue Collar Joe’s, a successful donut shop. It consists of two structures on an approximately one-half-acre site.

It sold on May 18, 2011 for $480,000. The sale was of real estate only, and did not include the operating business.
